Obstetrics is one of the main activities of the Centre.
Dr Elias Tsakos has been extensively trained in all aspects of Obstetrics in very busy Maternity Hospitals in England and since 1992 has managed many thousands of deliveries.
With the support of his team of two Gynaecologists and one midwife
Dr E. Tsakos undertakes antenatal, delivery and post-delivery care of normal and high risk pregnancies.
Due to the Centre's Infertility and Gynaecology acticvities, the majority of pregnancies are high risk (mainly due to age, past medical history, twin pregnancies etc).
The Gynaecology & Fertility Centre's inpatient service has been exclusively based in St. Lukes's Hospital, (www.klinikiagiosloukas.gr) since 1999.
St. Lukes is a very busy non-profit private Hospital with 250 beds covering most clinical specialties. The Gyneacology & Fertility Centre is equipped with latest technology ultrasound machines (General Elctric 2010 and Phillips 2009) and additionally offers Cardio-tocography, antenatal classed and Psychological support.
The Centre organizes annual seminars on Obstetrics for the public and has published te "Pregnancy Guide 2010" (currently in Greek only). In summary, the Centre's Obstetic care is individualized, modern and sophisticated foccusing on safety and quality.
